Puppy Training

Puppyhood is a time to learn—but it's also a time to get to know each other.

Your puppy is already becoming who they are. Their quirks, preferences, sensitivities, confidence, curiosity, and unique personality are all beginning to emerge.

Our training focuses not only on teaching skills, but on observing, listening, and learning who your dog is. Through positive reinforcement and thoughtful guidance, we'll build communication and trust while giving your puppy a strong foundation for the life you'll share together.

How can I help you and your dog?

Leash Skills & Walking

Walking together should be a cooperative experience.

A rewarding walk isn't about making your dog stay beside you at all times. It's about teaching your dog that being connected with you is rewarding, while giving them opportunities to explore and engage with the environment.

We'll use environmental reinforcers, positive reinforcement, and practical skills to help your dog learn to choose connection, check in, and want to stay with you—creating walks that feel more like a partnership than a battle.

Manners & Obedience

Learn to see the good your dog is already offering.

Training isn't just about teaching your dog what to do. It's about learning how your dog learns, understanding what motivates them, and becoming a better observer of the behaviors you want to see more often.

We'll build practical obedience and everyday manners like recall, focus, settling, impulse control, and polite greetings while teaching you how to recognize, reinforce, and build on your dog's successes in everyday life.

High-Drive & Working Dogs

Give their minds something meaningful to do.

Living with a high-drive Border Collie taught me firsthand that these dogs aren't simply looking for a way to burn off energy. They need opportunities to think, explore, problem-solve, and engage in behaviors that fulfill who they are.

Enrichment is an important part of helping high-energy and working dogs live fulfilled lives. We'll explore what motivates your dog, learn how to channel their natural drives, and create meaningful outlets that support both their physical and mental well-being.

The goal isn't to make a high-drive dog less of who they are. It's to understand who they are and help them thrive.

More Challenging Behavior?

We also work with dogs experiencing anxiety, fear, reactivity, aggression, and other challenging behaviors.

Anxiety, Fear & Stress

Helping your dog feel safer, one experience at a time.

Fear and anxiety can shape how a dog experiences the world. We’ll learn to recognize your dog’s triggers and body language, thoughtfully manage stressful situations, and use positive reinforcement and counterconditioning to help create more positive associations.

Working at your dog’s pace, we’ll build confidence and give them the skills and support they need to navigate challenging experiences with greater comfort and trust.

“Sean is patient, observant, and always puts the dog's emotional well-being first. His training reflects a deep respect for the learning process and a commitment to helping dogs succeed through positive reinforcement. It is evident that he values not only the end result but also the quality of the journey to get there.”
